So many adventures. So few times.

My life is pretty dull. I play with a toddler, watch a lot of Yo Gabba Gabba and experiment with the crock pot. I have no bed time and I find humor in Laffy Taffy jokes. Conan O'Brien is my anti-drug.

Ramblings of a sleepless stink

There's something borderline poetic on a cold, snowy afternoon about curling up under a hooded sweatshirt and a stocking cap, sipping a cup of coffee and watching crap tv. My hamstrings are aching from my work out today at the gym and I'm still wearing my gross clothing from earlier. My brain is wandering in 18 different directions but life isn't bad. In fact, it's pretty damned good. Christmas has happened and gifts have been exchanged and mailed and dropped off and received. Looking forward to spring although we are just at the edge of winter, and we've only  had one other considerable snow fall in Wisconsin. Sleep is sporadic recently - it's annoying how frequently I wake up at 1:30, stay awake until 3 and then am abruptly woken again at 3:30 by one munchkin or another.
I received a Silhouette Cameo machine for Christmas and I don't even know where to start. Any tips for a newbie? I'm looking to make my own gym shirts because I have about 900 and I constantly want more. Come on, readers. I know at least two or seven of you have a few tips for me.

AdoramaPix Metal Print - Hello Gorgeous!

NOTE: I received this redonk amazing metal print free from AdoramaPix in exchange for my honest review. However, the opinions stated are all my own. Bla bla bla.

True Story - I'd never heard of AdoramaPix before. I received an opportunity to write a review for the holidays and jumped at the opportunity! After all, my living room constantly needs to be updated to keep my wandering mind satiated and typically the easiest way to do so is to update the image over our mantel! So like I said, I jumped at the opportunity.

First and foremost, the good: Creating the project was amazingly simple on the site. You create an account, pick what kind of project you want to start, upload your images and order! Easy peasy, obviously. I placed my order promptly and sat back with a giant smile on my face!

Upon receipt of the print, I was shocked! It's heavy (in a good way), thick and durable. The finish is glossy (see the reflection in the shot above?) and I see zero finger smudges from when I mounted it on the wall. Also, it comes with the mounting hardware but it also looks awesome just balanced on the wall. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about

Here's the bad: Shipping took forever. Forever-forever. FORRRREEEEVERRRRR. I received this picture in exchange for promoting for Christmas. However, I didn't want to write a review until I actually received the print and it took at least 5 weeks. I'm assuming it's because of the holidays and people buying stuff and loving other people and whatever else. Just the same, I was less than impressed with the printing time. Just the same, I'm sure if I had paid a rush fee I could have had this to my house a week later.

I'm majorly digging my new art either way. Isn't it fab? Seriously. And I equally have such a beautiful family AND an awesome photographer. By the way, the picture was taken by J. Linder Photography! If anyone local to SE Wisconsin is looking for an affordable photographer, she's your gal. But I digress, AdoramaPix might not be your ideal gift for a timely Christmas 2015 present, but it would be a fabulous option for a birthday present in 2016! Your mom would love it.

Seriously.

She would. She told me. Last night.

Momjudging. I'm looking at you.

I just started tearing up in the middle of a not-so-crowded indoor playground in a Chicago burb. Yeah, maybe it's PMS. Maybe it's exhaustion from being 'on' nonstop for several days. Maybe it's loneliness as my husband has been out of town for a while for work. But seriously my co-moms, stop the damned judging!

Tommy is overtired and has short legs and is hungry and can't climb as fast as his sister, and in turn is throwing random tantrums. Another one of my mom-people asked if I was going to continue neglecting my child as I let him cry by my feet.

Here's the thing: if I pick him up, he'll cry harder. If I comfort him, he will hit me or bite me. There is no logic to why he's upset, but he's pissed and overstimulated. This has no bearing on my parenting, but that doesn't mean it does t sting when remarks are slung around.

And to the mom scolding my 4 year old for, wait for it, going down a slide and almost kicking her child who was playing blindly at the bottom? Dude. Seriously? Back the eff off.

We're all playing this game blindly. I've been parenting for 4 1/2 years now and I still don't know what the heck I'm doing. Guys, just... Chill. Be understanding. Give a sympathetic smile, not a snear. You don't know me, you don't know my kids.

In other news, my kids had a freaking blast. They were kids, they both whined and they both laughed and ultimately, it was a great experience as always.

And yes, I ultimately ignored those meanies.
Now off to lunch!
