The box came a few days later and here is what was inside:
Clockwise: $25 coupon for Sole Society; Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask ~ $2; Quaker RealMedleys Oatmeal, $1.79; NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine, $2.49; Kiss Nail Dress, $6.99; EBOOST, $28 for box of 20; Goody QuikStyle Brush, $11.99
Here's the before. Chipped polish and nails filed down.
After: Shiny, sleek nails that are a step above edgy.
The Nail Dress applications took me a while to apply and file down (approximately 20 minutes), but that probably was because I'd never used them and am kind of an idiot when it comes to nail products. I like having sparkly, fun nails but sometimes the most rudimentary nail products escape me.
So I applied them Christmas Eve (The 24th) and today is the 28th. How are they holding up? The tips of my nails are a little worn down but overall I still get stopped on the street so people can admire. I call this a win!
Last night I had a girl's night out with my book club and wanted to look sassy post-shower, so I gave the half-round brush a try. The brush has these absorbent microfiber bristles that claims to remove 30% of the water from your hair to speed up blow drying.
The end result was sleek, sassy hair. I didn't have to spend nearly as much time with the blow dryer and definitely less time with the straightening iron post-blow dry. Here's an up close image of the microfiber bristles on the brush. I say my only negative view on this is that after a while the microfiber bristles get too damp and then they stop working/start spreading more moisture. I'd suggest only using the brush with the blow dryer for the first 2/3rds of your blow out and then set it out to finish up the job with your regular brush. Did it actually cut out time from the blow dryer? Ummm.... not that I noticed. On a scale of 1-492, I give it a B+.
Finally, the gloss. Um, perfection? I was surprised at the quality of this NYC gloss, and the color was perfection. I love a good nude shimmer and this had it in bulk. The taste was surprisingly yummy, the gloss wasn't too sticky and the color was complimentary to my pale and freckled skin tone.
